Why are there two privacy policies?
top.legal runs two areas that differ in data-protection terms: the public website addresses all internet users and uses analytics and marketing tools that require consent. The SaaS platform, by contrast, processes the contract data of business customers and their users under a processor relationship – with different legal bases, different subprocessors, and different retention periods.
Documenting the two areas separately is not only permissible but, under Article 13 GDPR, the correct approach: the information must be provided where the respective processing takes place – and it must be clearly understandable for the person concerned.
For integration partners and enterprise customers who want to embed top.legal into their systems or compliance processes, the platform privacy policy is available publicly and permanently.
